Tour itinerary

  1. Introduction and start of the tour

We’ll meet you at the farm and begin with a gentle introduction to the atmosphere of the place.

You will learn:
— the history of the farm and its development
— how the farm, workshops and seedling storage areas are organised
— the principles of growing and caring for plants
— you will be able to view the working areas from the outside and take a look inside

2. What the farm is like behind the scenes

During the tour, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at farm life and see how the farm operates from the inside.

We will show you:
— workshops and work areas
— storage areas where rose and walnut seedlings are kept
— machinery, tools and equipment
— processes that remain invisible to the average visitor

You will learn:
— how the farm’s daily work is organised
— how many processes are involved in growing plants and maintaining the farm
— how the farm environment is created and maintained

This is an opportunity to see real farm life — vibrant, practical and filled with daily hard work and a love for what we do.

You will learn:
— how husbandry conditions affect product quality
— how the farm-based approach differs from the industrial one
— the characteristics of each animal species

You will visit the farm buildings and have the opportunity to explore them both from the outside and the inside. You will see the animals in their natural environment.

The programme includes:
— ‘Edolas' laying hens, free-range and laying eggs to the sound of classical music
— rare black ‘Ayam Cemani' chickens and hybrids
— ducks, rabbits, goats and sheep

4. The Rose Garden

Next, we’ll head to our extraordinary rose garden, home to 800 rose bushes—a place of beauty and inspiration.

Words cannot do justice to the sheer variety of colours, shapes and scents of the blooming roses. Here, every bush fills the air with a special atmosphere; it is a place where you will want to look, breathe in and cherish the moment.

Rose blooming season:
Late June to August. Please check the availability of blooming roses before booking.

You will see:
  • A blooming plantation of 80 different varieties of roses
  • A huge variety of colours, shapes and scents
  • Learn about the specifics of care and cultivation
  • You will have the opportunity to take beautiful photographs

Additional services (for a fee):
If you wish, you can cut your favourite roses yourself and take a bouquet home with you. (€ 1 per flower)

During the season, potted roses are available, which you can also purchase for your garden. This is an excellent option for quick and easy planting, whatever the season.

One of the most informative parts of the tour.

You will learn:
— how trees are grafted
— how seedlings are grown
— information on the different varieties of walnut and the specific requirements for growing them
— how to start your own orchard

You will see:
— A nursery of young plants
— A plantation of 1,000 mature walnut trees
— Learn about the cultivation and care process

Harvest season:
Late September to mid-October. During this period, you can take part in the harvest.

Additionally:
Tasting of different varieties of walnuts and the opportunity to purchase the variety you like best.

6. The Trout Lake

A short stop at a lake where trout are farmed. This spot lends the tour a sense of tranquillity and allows you to connect more deeply with nature. Don’t miss the chance to slow down and soak up the atmosphere.

You will be able to:
— Feed the trout
— Watch them leap out of the water

This moment is particularly vivid and memorable for our visitors.

A special part of the tour is an introduction to the world of bees. This is a highly informative section, which many visitors describe as the most unusual and memorable part of the whole tour.

During this part, you will:
— explore the unique apiary, home to four beehives.
— learn how a bee colony functions, using 15 hives as examples.
— understand how a beehive works and its role in the ecosystem
— have the opportunity to taste our own honey

7. The Apiary and Apitherapy

8. Shiitake mushroom farm and truffle garden

Another unique part of the tour is an introduction to the world of mushrooms and modern cultivation techniques.

You will visit:
— a shiitake mushroom farm
— a truffle garden, where truffles are grown on hazelnut roots

You will learn:
— how shiitake mushrooms are grown
— the conditions under which truffles form
— why the truffle is considered one of the most valuable mushrooms in the world
— how modern farming technologies combine with natural processes

This section is of particular interest to those who are keen on gardening, rare crops and unusual farming projects.

After the tour, you will have the opportunity to:
— Take a stroll around the farm
— Enjoy the beauty and fragrance of the blooming roses (please check for details on flowering times)
— Take beautiful photos in various locations
— Pick fresh roses yourself (€ 1 per flower)
— Choose and purchase rose cuttings, walnut seedlings and walnuts

9. Free time and shopping

The tour lasts 1.5−2 hours (covering a distance of 1.5 km). Tours are available during the season (from 15 June to 30 October).

We can arrange transport if required. Please arrange this in advance.

A tour of the farm

  • the chance to learn how the farm was established and has developed

  • a one-to-one meeting with the farm’s founder (30 minutes) after the tour
